Picture this: Two hectares of plastic wonderland, where Temu meets AliExpress in physical form. That’s Jumbo in Cyprus – a place where wallets go to die and common sense takes a vacation.
You walk in for one thing. You leave questioning your life choices, pushing a trolley full of “might-need-someday” tat. Today’s haul included some table lights that seemed nice enough… until we discovered one was faulty.
Here’s where it gets properly Cypriot: Returns for defective items? Sure! But only after 2 PM. And only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. It was 11 AM on the wrong day, apparently.
At €6.99, driving back would cost more than the lamp itself. So now Jumbo has our money AND their broken product, while we bought another one.
Welcome to shopping in Cyprus, where customer service operates on island time.
